GENERAL INFORMATION
Honour Board Pairs event over three weeks. Regular session time (12:05 pm for a 12:20 pm start of play. Ends approximately 4:00 pm).
HOW TO ENTER, ENTRY FEE
- Enter via MyABF (this site).
- Entry fee: $60 per pair ($30 per player). Payment (via MyABF) can be made for one or both members of the pair at a time.
- Entries close on (and payment must be received by) Wednesday 22 July 2026. Late entries and refunds at the discretion of the club..
- Walk in entries (whether club members or not) for any one or more of the three weeks may be accepted at the discretion of the director.
OTHER INFORMATION
- The format of the event will be determined after the closing date for entries, when the number of contestants is ascertained. We currently anticipate (a) The first two weeks will be "qualifying" sessions. (b) In the third week, the higher performing pairs from the first two weeks (combined) will compete for the Pairs Championship in a round robin. All other pairs will compete in the consolation plate. The number of pairs to play in the final will be announced prior to the end of the second session.
- To be eligible to play in the final, the pair must comprise the same two players for all sessions, and each individual in the pair must (a) have been a member of the club for at least six months prior to the start of the event, and (b) have played at least six sessions (masterpointed with green masterpoints) at the club in the year prior to the start of the event.
- Red Masterpoints can be earned by all players in all weeks.
- Green, Blue and Red systems and Brown Sticker conventions and treatments permitted.
- Each pair must have two systemically identical ABF system cards at the start of each round.
- The club's tournament regulations and by-laws apply to this event.
