Walk in Pairs on Friday 30th April 2027 at 9.30am (Not on myABF pay at table $40.00 per pair)
Swiss Butler Pairs - Open, BRC 500 and Novice
Swiss Teams (Open, BRC 500 and Novice) - Match 1 commences 2 pm Saturday 1st May.
Entry Fees: Walk-in Pairs - $40.00 per pair; Swiss Butler Pairs - $160.00; Swiss Teams $640.00 (1 point = $1).
Gold Points are awarded in the Swiss Butler Pairs and Swiss Teams events. Red Points are awarded in the Walk-in Pairs.
To qualify for Barrier Reef Zone prizes, you need to be a resident or a member in the Barrier Reef Zone.
The ABF Tournament Regulations as modified by the ABF Supplementary Regulations will apply.
Entries close on Friday 23rd April 2027. Unless filled before this date. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Chief Director.
Eligibility for Restricted Events - Masterpoint requirements as at 31 December 2026. Please see BRC Manual for additional limitations.
- Novice Pairs/Teams all players must have fewer than 100 Mps
- BRC 500 Pairs/Teams all players must have fewer than 500 Mps
Mobile phones are NOT ALLOWED to be used during session times. Please see the Chief Tournament Director - to look after your phone If you are expecting an URGENT call.
The following finishing times are provided solely as a guide to players and may change depending on event formats and other circumstances:
Pairs Saturday, 1st May, 1.00 pm
Teams Monday, 3rd May, 12.45 pm
PLEASE NOTE: An entry is NOT finalized till full payment is received. If congress is full priority will be given to those entries that are willing to pay. Consequently, entries with TBA will be removed.

Transport
Limited parking is available within the Resort - enter from Behan Street. If you park at the entrance in Cannon Street it is quite a walk to the Congress venue.
Public parking is available in Behan Street.
Cheap public busses run via Anderson Street and Greenslopes Street. Leaving Lake Street Depot. From either street it is around 500 meters walk.
The venue is around 4 kilometers from the center of Cairns.
The Colonial Club Resort has a significant number of rooms and then as easy walk. If booking use Promo Code “CAMP-BRIDGE”
Catering
Farewell drink and nibbles will be provided on Monday after play.
Water will be provided at stations in the playing area.
A coffee van will be parked outside the entrance to the venue. Coffee is also available within the venue from the pool bar.
Lunch details will be advised closer to the event
Additional Information
BRC 2027 will be held in 3 different areas of the resort. Unfortunately, no other affordable venue in Cairns is; available.
Lockhart Room - Open section holds 40 tables;
Jardine/Palmerston Room - Under 500 Mps holds 28 tables - Note: There are stairs involved - no lift
Somerset Room - Under 100 Mps holds 22 tables - Note: There are stairs involved - no lift
