GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome:This is an NSBC Club championship event. Visitors are welcome to participate.
Event Format:

This is a four-week event with red masterpoints at B State Level.

Week 1: Knock-out Round 1 over two stanzas of 14 boards. The seven winning teams and a lucky loser procced to Knock-out Round 2. The six losing teams enter the Swiss Repechage

Week 2: Knock-out Round 2 over two stanzas of 14 boards. The four winning teams proceed to Knock-out Round 3. The four losing teams enter the Swiss on a score of 30VPs. 

Week 3: Knock-out Round 3 over two stanzas of 14 boards. The two winning teams proceed to Knock-out Round 4. The two losing teams enter the Swiss on a score of 60VPs. 

Week 4: Knock-out Round 4 (Final) over two stanzas of 14 boards. 

Swiss: Six matches of 14 boards over Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4. Results will be converted to VPs using the continuous WBF 14-board scale. The draw for the first round will be random. Teams that have played in the knock-out section may meet again in the Swiss.   

General Conditions:
  1. Players should be seated 10 minutes before start of play.
  2. Players should be friendly or at a minimum be courteous and respectful at all times.
  3. At a minimum players should put a short description of their system in the chat at the start of each round.
  4. All players should be respectful of the amount of time to play each board and how much of it they use (within reason).
  5. Cameras and Microphones are required to be working and on during the sessions.
  6. Players may switch off cameras and microphones while playing as dummy.
  7. Players should mute the microphone when not speaking if their environment contains background noises.
  8. Players should be well lit (not hidden in shadows).
  9. No Yellow Systems are permitted.
