GENERAL INFORMATION

We are trialling using the new MyABF system for entries and payments.  Please note that to use MyABF you must be logged in to MyABF, and any players you enter must have registered for MyABF.  There are bound to be teething problems as the Organiser and players get used to the new system so if you have any problems, or are uncomfortable using this system, please contact the Organiser directly (between 5 and 6 pm daily is good for phone calls).

There will be 3 events at the Autumn Nationals in 2021:

  - Swiss Pairs (Open, Mixed and Under LifeMaster) held on Thursday 29 April and Friday 30 April (attendance at all sessions is compulsory).  These will be 8 x 14 board matches.  To play in the Under LifeMaster event, players must have less than LifeMaster status as at 31 December 2020.

  - Swiss Teams (Open and Under LifeMaster) held on Saturday 1 May and Sunday 2 May (attendance at all sessions is compulsory), with the final for the Open section to be held on Monday 3 May.    There will be 5 x 12 board matches and 4 x 14 board matches.  To play in the Under LifeMaster event, players must have less than LifeMaster status as at 31 December 2020.  In addition, an Under LifeMaster team may have one player of less than Bronze LifeMaster status

  - Consolation (Swiss Pairs and Teams) held on Monday 3 May concurrently with the finals of the Open Teams.  There will be 6 x 8 board matches.  To encourage newer players, entry will be free for players with less than 25 masterpoints who have not played in these events previously.

The Autumn Nationals is conducted by the SA Bridge Federation under licence from the ABF.  These will all be Gold Point events.  Subject to confirmation from the ABF, the Open Pairs, Mixed Pairs and Open Teams will attract PQPs.

A special discount is available when the entry fee for the event is paid in one payment before 1 April.  So, the full entry fee for the Teams is $560 but where the entry payment for a team is made in one payment. this reduces to $520  Similarly, the full entry fee for the Pairs is $280 which reduces to $260 when the entry fee is made in one payment.  No discount is available for payments by cash or cheque, payments received after 1 April or when players pay separately.

Unfortunately myABF does not yet support early payment discounts, so please contact the Tournament Organiser if there is any confusion.
