This event qualifies two teams to the NSW State Open Teams Finals on Friday 28 November - Sunday 30 November, 2025 to be held on RealBridge. One position will go to the best placed team that has entered after playing in a qualifying event at a Metropolitan club (if any), the other place will go to the best placed team. 

A Metropolitan club is any club not listed on the list of clubs in regions for the Country part of this event, see https://bridgensw.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Country_Teams_2025_Clubs_in_Regions.pdf 

Teams entering via a metro qualifier should not enter the event here. The entry will be made by the Tournament Organiser on your behalf. 

Entry is restricted to members of clubs affiliated with Bridge NSW. Teams entering via direct entry do not have to be composed of only players from Metropolitan clubs. Teams may nominate that they wish to enter this event as Non-contending teams meaning that they do not wish to proceed to the State Final. 

Players entering via direct entry may play in both the face-to-face and online metro finals in the same team or a different team. This includes a player who is a member of a club representative team in one final but wishes to enter via direct entry in the other.

Format

The event is played over two sessions on consecutive Monday nights. Depending on the number of entries it will either be a Swiss teams or a round robin.
