Location - Batman Royale
Transport
Entrance to the venue by car is shown below via 14 Gaffney Street. Parking is free. Batman station is right next door and trains run hourly over the weekend. Trams run every 30 minutes on Sydney Rd. Best access from the Airport is via Bell Street exit from the Tullamarine Freeway. This is a 20 minute journey at most, even during the midweek peak. Trains to the city take about 20 minutes and the drive to the city is about 25 mins.
Catering
We have arranged for onsite catering from a local café owner. They will be providing such things as bacon and egg sambos for brekky, hamburgers or spaghetti Bolognese for lunch, fresh cut sandwiches and salads, all made to order on site. There will be the usual side snacks and drinks but we are unable to provide genuine Vegan and only limited Vegetarian options. I will have a price list for the event but it will reflect typical lunch shop options and prices. You will be able to pre-order for lunch but breakfasts will be first come first served from 9.00am. And there will be lots of coffee. We will have two coffee points available, with Roger Phillips being there to sort out your caffeine fix.
Additional Information
ACCOMMODATION:
We have two officially organised accommodation venues: 30 rooms at a Quest in Preston and 20 rooms at The Savoy. Quest is only 12 minutes drive from the playing rooms and The Savoy is next door to Southern Cross Station. Both areas have plenty of eateries. The Quest rooms are King splits and all rooms are “Studios”, meaning it has cooking facilities and utensils. It is our recommended Congress accommodation option and I will be arranging a daily shuttle from here for those who do not have a car. The Savoy is right in the City of course and you would use the train from Southern Cross and get off at Batman Station on the Upfield Line.

Last Day Flight Planning:
We are planning to conclude at 13.30pm but this is followed by presentations and hospitality. If you are booking flights, my recommendation is to choose a flight no earlier than 15.30pm. There are still a lot of issues around the security check.
