Laurie Kelso, the Chief Tournament Director for Victoria, is running a session for current Directors.

The course is titled 'PROBLEM SOLVING FOR DIRECTORS'.

The plan is to have about a two- and half-hour session starting at 1pm.

It will be technology-based covering the usage and functionality of BRIDGEMATES and COMPSCORE.

Suggested topics include:

· What can and can't be displayed on the bridgemates during and at the end of the session

· Updates and currency of firmware, software and databases (Bridgemate & CS3)

· Handling late changes to a movement

· Channel selection and frequency tuning

· What to do when things go wrong

· How to avoid losing data and how to recover it if it occurs

· Using player data from the ABF Masterpoint Centre and from MyABF

· Web display options (Pianola, Bridgewebs, MyABF, bridgeaustralia, bridge.org) CSV & XML

· Importing and exporting of completed sessions (BBO and RealBridge)

· User-defined movements and building movements on the computer

· Backing everything up

Laurie encourages any attendee to bring their questions on similar or related topics.

The course will be run solely online on either ZOOM or TEAMS.
