A NEW CONTEST FOR THIS YEAR BROKEN INTO FOUR INDIVIDUAL EVENTS

There are four separate events as follows each played on RealBridge (online) for metro and country players.

Early April Matchpoint Challenge on Wednesday 9th April 2025

Late April Matchpoint Challenge on Wednesday 30th April 2025

August Matchpoint Challenge on Wednesday 13th August 2025

October Matchpoint Challenge on Wednesday 22nd October 2025

RED masterpoints are awarded on each of the four nights.

The format is matchpoint pairs (depending upon entries, maybe ten rounds of two boards each [only as a suggestion]).

At the end of the night, masterpoints will be issued.

A pair can be play as many times as they wish in the four different events.

They may play in only one event or all four or any other combination they wish.

Each time the masterpoints will be issued and the scores recorded.

After the final (fourth challenge in October), the pair with the highest matchpoint score from any of the four sessions (where the pair’s highest score is used regardless of when it was achieved), will be eligible to play in an event with Chris Hughes and David Beckett as partners or team mates.

In other words, the winners have their choice, if they wish to take up the offer

1.     Play in a team event as a pair with Chris and David being the other pair

2.    Play in a team event where one of the pair plays with Chris and the other plays with David

3.    Play in a pairs event where one of the pair plays with Chris and the other plays with David

This can be at a congress or a local club event.
