GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome:This is an NSBC Club championship event and a direct qualifier for the GNOT Final (second stage). This is regionally restricted event and visitors from the Sydney metropolitan region and the surrounding regions (Blue Mountains, Illawarra & Central Coast) are welcome to participate.
Event Format:X-IMP / VP scoring. This event comprises of four sessions over six weeks. We have a break on 20th March (Tas festival) and 10th April (Central West Festival). The first three sessions (13/3, 27/3, and 3/4) will be a Round Robin qualifier and the last session (17/4) will be a head to head final for the top two teams and a Swiss for the remaining teams. We have 12 teams, seeded into two pools that will play each other in 6x14 board rounds for the qualifier. Winners of each pool with play in a 2 x 14 board stanza final and remainder will play in 2 x 14 board round Swiss.
Member Discounts:North Shore Bridge Club members receive a $5 per session discount on all regular face-to-face sessions, online sessions and championship events (excluding congresses). To receive the discount members must select to pay via the Club PP System option when entering.
Close of Entries:Entries will close on Wednesday 12th March 2025 at 5:00pm. Late entries will be up to the discretion of the tournament organiser.
Prizes:1st = Direct Qualifier, 2nd = Metro Final Entry, 1st (Swiss) = Metro Final Entry.
General Conditions:
  1. Players should be seated 10 minutes before start of play.
  2. Players should be friendly or at a minimum be courteous and respectful at all times.
  3. At a minimum players should put a short description of their system in the chat at the start of each round.
  4. All players should be respectful of the amount of time to play each board and how much of it they use (within reason).
  5. Cameras and Microphones are required to be working and on during the sessions.
  6. Players may switch off cameras and microphones while playing as dummy.
  7. Players should mute the microphone when not speaking if their environment contains background noises.
  8. Players should be well lit (not hidden in shadows).
  9. No Yellow Systems are permitted.

Teams > 4:Teams with five or six members please add a comment to the entry indicating how many sessions each player will be playing and it will be charged accordingly. If you wish to pay for the entire team that can arranged also.
