The SBC Easter Monday Swiss Teams

Monday 1st April 2025, 10am start

at the SBC clubroom on Level 1, 162 Goulburn Street, Sydney

Entry fee: $260 per team (lunch included)

RED Masterpoints awarded.

It is great fun playing TEAMS in bridge! 

Most experienced players rate teams competition highly and many prefer Teams to Duplicate Pairs. Because of the differences in scoring, different tactics are appropriate.

In the regular club pairs sessions, your score is compared to all other pairs holding the same cards. The key to success is how often you are ahead of your opponents (the other pairs sitting in your direction). In teams, you have only one opponent. He or she is sitting in your seat at your current opposition’s home table. The key to winning is how much you do better than your opponents on each board. Enter now to explore the Teams format!

📝Programme 

Play commences at 10.00am sharp on Monday 21st April for two sessions: three matches in the morning, break for lunch, then another three matches in the afternoon. Please form a team with 4-6 players. Entry in advance on MyABF required.

We plan to have separate field for Novice & Restricted teams. 

🏅Cash Prize

Prize money will depend on the number of entries. If sufficient entries, cash prizes will be awarded to place getters and there will be a restricted category. Wine prizes are also usually provided but will depend on entries. 

💰Payment Method

SBC members can choose to pay via their SBC Pre-Pay account. If you don't have a pre-pay account with SBC, please pay via MyABF, you can choose to pay for only this congress.

Alternatively, you can enter yourself with TBA to start with. This will help other available players finding you too!

It's easy to get to the venue by public transportation. Please use Trip Planner to find the best route. 

Parking is available at Secure Parking, corner of Elizabeth Street and Goulburn Street. Public holiday special $15 for whole day parking. 

A delicious lunch is included. Please make a note in your entry if you have any dietary restrictions.

Free tea, instant coffee and refreshment throughout the day. 

$2.50 for fancy coffee with fresh coffee bean and fresh milk from the coffee machine. $2 for the chilled soft cans. Both are on honesty system. Coins will come in handy!
