SABF - ANOT

The Autumn National Championships are conducted by the SA Bridge Federation under licence from the ABF.  These will all be Gold Point events.  The Open and Mixed events will attract PQPs towards the 2026 national playoffs.

Early Bird Discount:

Early Bird discount applies to entries received and paid in full before 31st March 2025.

Early Bird discount for Pairs is $50 per pair; for Teams is $100 per team.

The Events:

All morning sessions start at 9.45am (Thursday to Sunday).

TBIB Butler Swiss Pairs: Open and Mixed

Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd May (attendance at all sessions is compulsory)

8 x 14 board matches, 9.45am start each day (finish 5.45pm)

Full entry fee:  $370 per pair. 

StepBridge Butler Swiss Pairs:  Under Grand Master and Under Life Master

Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd May (attendance at all sessions is compulsory)

8 x 14 board matches, 9.45am start each day (finish 5.45pm)

To play in the Under Grand Master event, players must not have attained the rank of Grand Master by 31st December 2024.

To play in the Under Life Master event, players must not have attained the rank of Life Master by 31st December 2024.

Full entry fee:  $370 per pair.  

David Lusk Rookie Butler Swiss Pairs

Thursday 1st May (one day only):  6 x 8 board matches (attendance for all matches is compulsory)

9.45am start, will finish by about 5pm

To play in this Rookie Pairs event, each player must not have attained 35 masterpoints by 31st December 2024.

Full entry fee:  $120 per pair.  

TBIB Open Swiss Teams

Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May (attendance at all sessions is compulsory)

The Final of the Open Teams will be held on Monday 5th May - at Ridley Centre.

8 x 14 board matches, 9.45am start each day (finish 5.45pm); Open Final starts at 9.00am or 9.30am Monday.

Full entry fee:  $740 per team.  

StepBridge Swiss Teams: Under Grand Master and Under Life Master

To play in the Under Grand Master event, all players must not have attained the rank of Grand Master by 31st December 2024.

To play in the Under Life Master event, all players must not have attained the rank of Life Master by 31st December 2024.

Full entry fee:  $740 per team.  

Important Points:

* The SABF expects all participants to comply with any SA Health regulations in place at the time of the event.

* Gold points will be awarded in all events: in Open events, at the full rate; in Under Grand Master events, at the A2 rate (half the Open rate); in Under Life Master events, at a lesser rate (dependent on the entrants).

The venue is well-served by public transport. Travel to Bus Stop 2 on Goodwood Road via bus routes G10 / W91 / G20 / G30 / G40, which leave King William Street in the city at regular intervals. Or (further to walk) catch the Seaford or Belair line train to the Showground station.  Or take the tram to Leader Street. For timetables etc, go to adelaidemetro.com.au.

On-site parking is available at $14 per day, entry via Rose Terrace (to the north).  We will be sourcing a number of 4-day parking passes at cost of $26 per pass (for the duration of all events) . Contact the Organiser before 25th April to have one allocated to you.

There is a restricted amount of parking nearby for mobility-limited players. Please contact the Organiser for more information.

Water will be provided free of charge throughout the playing areas and break-out areas.

Lunches will be available for purchase in the Atrium Court outside the Ridley Centre. This will include sandwiches, hot food, cakes, fresh fruit etc and ‘better’ coffee. To reduce queuing, you can pre-order your lunch up to an hour before play starts each day.

Drakes Supermarkets have a food centre in their supermarket across the road, selling hot and cold lunches, hot and cold drinks (Nonna's Pasta, The Little Kitchen, Muffin Break, Grown & Ground).

There is also a Subway outlet on Goodwood Road, a short walk south of the venue.
