Victorian Bridge Centre

A 3 week VBC club GREEN POINT event held online on Real Bridge. Open to all (Visitors Welcome).  Commences each Monday night at 7:30pm.  Players are requested to be seated by 7:15pm.

The format is Matchpoint Swiss Pairs. 

Substitutes

If a nominated entrant in a multi-session VBC Club event is unable to play in any session of that event because of sudden illness or injury, urgent personal business or any other sufficient reason, he/she or his/her partner or team captain may use a suitable substitute.

A suitable substitute is someone who is not of a demonstrably stronger standard than that of the player for whom he/she is substituting.  Where possible the Chief Tournament Director (CTD) should be advised in advance so that a decision can be made as to the suitability of the substitute. The CTD may allow the substitute but indicate that a penalty will be imposed if the substitute is deemed overweight. 

Where possible you should avoid using considerably weaker players as substitutes.

Should the CTD not be notified in advance the club reserves the right to adjust the score where the person substituting is deemed inappropriate.  This decision may impact the awarding of masterpoints.  The decision of the Chief Tournament Director will be final.

A player may not use a substitute for more than one half (rounded down) of the sessions of an event.
